Humanitarian Work

Bobbie Rae Jones is wearing a face mask as she hands a box to a person in front of her

I'm a humanitarian, too!

I've worked with Tzu Chi USA, helping families recover after the Camp Fire of 2018. I've also partnered with several agencies in the Camp Fire Collaborative to assist in connecting volunteer builders to survivors resulting in four homes being built.

Below is a collection of videos, images, and articles illustrating the humanitarian projects I've worked on.

Bobbie Interviews with Survivor forn Action News Now

One of my first clients was Chuck Duran who lost his home in Paradise and owner and Master of Kuk Sol Martial Art Academy.  I met with him to support recovery from the consequences of the disaster.

"Imagine the feeling of relief that would flood our whole being if we knew that when we were in the grip of sorrow or illness, our village would respond to our need. This would not be out of pity, but out of a realization that every one of us will take our turn at being ill, and we will need one another."  -F. Weller, The Wild Edge of Sorrow

Bobbie brings art activity to inspire discussion with survivors about accomplishments since the disaster.
